Imagination
Now, isn't imagination a precious thing? It peoples the earth with all manner of wonders, strange beasts and birds, angels, cherubim and seraphim. And it has to be exercised. No child should be permitted to grow up without exercise for imagination. It enriches life for him. It makes things wonderful and beautiful.
Mark Twain
As always we shall start our examination of the concept of Imagination with a look at wikipedia's article. It is apparent form ready this article that there is almost no scientific data or physically observable facts concerning imagination in current recorded human knowledge. This really puts the idea up there with God, real shy on physical evidence. At the same time I think 100% of the the population would agree that they have an imagination. They experience something similar enough with others descriptions of imagination to know they have one.
One interesting sentence from the Wikipedia article is this: It has also been proposed that the whole of human cognition is based upon imagination. That is, nothing that is perceived is purely observation but all is a morph between sense and imagination.
I don't know who wrote that bit on Wikipedia but I think that some wisdom has been communicated.
Physical Reality of the Imagination
It is possible that images are real electromagnetic phenomenon and that when we sense the light or sound is translated by the organs into electromagnetic signals that the brain can analyze. The sense and image electromagnetic patterns will undoubtedly mix, resonate, harmonize, or dissonate forming an ever evolving imaginmatrix If images are real in the sense of being energetic patterns then the Earth has an atmosphere of ideas which we take in or create and project outward. An invention of a machine which could detect electromagnetic thought patterns in space would be nice. Oh yeah its called a brain.
What a power it is to be able to sense these electromagnetic patterns which can be mixed with our own created images and projected outward into physical creation! A child smiles in amazement as he/she first projects her imagination through blowing soap bubbles on a sunny day.
It is easy to begin to think of the reality of the imagination landscape as foo foo New Age crap. My intention is to look at what is physically observable and base my philosophy on that.
Extensive studies have been done on the brain and brain waves. It is known that different areas of the
brain contain specialized neural networks which coordinate a huge number of processes.
Scientists detect differences in wave frequency and amplitude when different thoughts and emotions are produced in the subject. There is even technology now where people paralyzed from the neck down can have a computer interface connected to their brain and they can learn to move a mouse cursor and click on objects by thinking. It takes some training. This is real, I saw it on the Science Channel.

Humans move the mouse with their minds and cyborg technology is here now!
The technology shown in these videos is rudimentary. And if this information is not top secret then you can bet the barn that the military dynamic across the world have much more advanced mind/computer/cyborg technology. We should not fear this. Fear is the mind killer. This media will overwhelm all cultures and no one group will be able to control it. There has never been a weapon or technology that has not totally permeated the world eventually. So instead of being afraid use your imagination and see the amazing potential possibilities. We will be able to transfer our brain to cyborg body and live for many hundreds or thousands of years. Imagine the projects that beings such as these would undertake; walking the ocean floor, traveling to and on the surface of the planets, outfitting our bodies with advanced sensory media such as mass spectrometers, nanobots networked with our mind which can form any shape or tool or even redesign the body's structure.
What would the imaginations of beings such as these contain?
Imaginmatrix
We are entering the Elysian Fields in life when for thousands of years it was believed only the dead reside there. With these incoming media we will manifest our imagination in physical reality as easily as we write our name. It would behoove us to consciously attend to our imagination in balance as synthesense. Let us not believe in the imagination as an object but instead a sense which we can understand how to utilize. Sense that our world is the imagination projected visual information of the overtone harmonic of all of us together.
Imaginative sense is a two way, interactive, activity. As much as our attention projects images, attention of the environment's equal and opposite direction of incoming visual imagery blends in our total unified attention field. Both streams are merging dialectic forces resulting in our body acting. Remember both streams are illusory. Our visual sense is coded by our stored image sets (names of objects,beliefs,memories,etc...). Our projected image sets with the direction of intent order the stored image sets. Patterns of streams blending become habitual actions. New patterns result in novel actions. New actions create altered physical environments producing new image data for the visual sense which is coded and waves of synthesis continue the process of the dialectic.
In a sense the physical world is a storage medium for a record or our imaginative evolution. Sensing causes matter to rearrange by a process of electromagnetic reflections triggering chemical-electric cascades engendering hormonal responses and our body directs the moving of mountains.
One possible physical structure for this possibility are neural networks composed of several types of neurons one of which is called a mirror neuron.
A mirror neuron is a "neuron that fires both when an animal acts and when the animal observes the same action performed by another. Thus, the neuron "mirrors" the behavior of the other, as though the observer were itself acting. Such neurons have been directly observed in primates, humans and other species including birds. In humans, brain activity consistent with that of mirror neurons has been found in the premotor cortex, the supplementary motor area, the primary somatosensory cortex and the inferior parietal cortex." (Wikipedia)
The somatosensory cortex and are thought to make the observer feel what it feels like to move in the observed way.
Neurons that fire either by one's own intention or the sensing of another's actions could explain empathy, compassion, and possible telepathy. When someone thinks some neurons fire. If one's mirror neurons are sensitive enough to detect the electromagnetic patterns of the person's thoughts then theoretically one could think what the other is thinking instantaneously. This would require that the receiver's mind is completely clear of thoughts of their own.
Continuing down this line, everyone's imagination produces a shifting electromagnetic pattern in the brain which could be detected by those around eventually forming an organic network of everyone's imaginations. This is the imaginmatrix.
We now recognize the time of what you see is what you get. We can choose what we see. Why not strive to see (sense) as much as is possible. Discipline your attention to overcome habitual focus on past images (memories, beliefs, knowledge) and focus on NOW. Now includes physical sensations (touch, sounds, sight), feelings stimulated from these sensations, and the spontaneous images arising from now's sensations and feelings. The imagination in this form is Synthesense. Higher order abstractions are of all sensational patterns which we attend to and their multitudinous combinations and permutations.
The Language of Imagination
The language of the imagination, at least in our American visual-sense dominated culture, is visual patterns. We constantly derive meaning from the images in our mind. It is not too far a stretch to say that every time we fragment the environment we see into individual objects that we are in fact reading the physical landscape and dynamically using our imagination as a translator and processor, combining objects we see with potential solutions to our goals or desires.
The entire world becomes language which our imagination can read. The imagination becomes a nexus of creation of new physical language. Literally and specifically, there is no difference between the physical world and the imagination, they are not separate entities, but one thing-in-itself.
The physical reality is the crystallization of Intelligence's imaginmatrix NOW!
