Culture and Shamanism

I am not an Athenian or a Greek, but a citizen of the world.
Socrates, from Plutarch, Of Banishment

Revolution is concept which has been mutated as much as any word over time. It is currently defined as 1. A political upheaval in a government or nation state characterized by great change. 2. The turning of an object around an axis. The word comes from Late Latin revolu-tio-nem,accusative singular of revolu-tio- (“‘the act of revolving").

Drugs

The question might arise, "Are drugs capable of helping me be more aware?" The answer is no. Your awareness is quite aware with or without a chemical stimulant. Drugs are like images, they produce static and predictable emotional states. Taking a drug is a short term solution. They give a constant, predictable emotional feeling similar to eating fast food. Tastes good now, feels bad later.

In primitive times, when man only organized in small familial groups and clans, hundreds of thousands of cultures grew up, matured, and died. With a life expectancy of 30 or less it was difficult to learn and store knowledge and wisdom. Every group has a different mythos, different root idea. Simple environmental factors, or past disasters affect the belief structure. People did not have what we would call ideas. Starting from pure attention to senses the beginnings of cooperation began communication. To communicate one needs symbols to represent physical objects.

HAEIB= highly advanced extraterrestrial intelligent being(s)

The undeniable logic of intelligent beings throughout our galaxy is concisely explained here:

America is a tremendous gestalt resulting from a mix of all cultures of the world. Every culture's ideas, art, traditions, and beliefs are forming new combinations and patterns. This process has been accelerating for hundreds of years. Starting with the Native Americans and Europeans and later significant African, Asian, Hispanic, and people from every corner of the Earth. A tipping point of synthesis of all these cultures is resulting in the birth of a New Native American Culture. What is the character of his culture? What does this mean for us and the world?

Here is Wikipedia's entry. This provides a beginning framework that you understand image/knowledge based culture. As each person perceives events and objects differently, tribes, clans, nations, cultures perceive images and knowledge differently. Each has their own arbitrary bounded set of abstractions, different ways of fragmenting the unified field in-formation.

I decided that it was not wisdom that enabled [poets] to write their poetry, but a kind of instinct or inspiration, such as you find in seers and prophets who deliver all their sublime messages without knowing in the least what they mean.
Socrates, In "Apology," sct. 21, by Plato

Rouse up, O Young Men of the New Age! set your foreheads against the ignorant Hirelings! For we have Hirelings in the Camp, the Court, and the University, who would, if the could for ever depress Mental and prolong Corporeal War.
William Blake

See ,the barrier is thinning

Where are the shamans of the immigrant American synthetic culture of 20 generations? And I'm not talking foo foo pussy New Agers wearing beads and burning incense. I mean rugged pioneers into awareness and consciousness. Courageous adventurers who smash their consciousness into bits to see how its put together. People who dare to face beings of higher intelligence whatever they may be.
